Abstract

1330076 Electricity meter LANDIS & GYR AG 24 Jan 1972 [1 Feb 1971] 3316/72 Heading G4H [Also in Divisions G1 and H3] A consumed power electricity meter comprises an electronic multiplier 1 which generates a pulse signal of frequency proportional to the input power, a counter 3 fed with the signal via divider 2 and a light emitter 5 to which the signal is also supplied, and which is arranged behind a transparent part of the meter housing. The light emitter 5, which is preferably a LED is mounted in a magnet 6. To check the meter, a sensing head comprising a light sensor (PIN photodiode) 11 mounted in magnet 14 is placed against the meter opposite the light emitter and is held there by the magnets. Pulses from emitter 5 are sensed at 11, their duration is increased in circuit 12 and they are fed by cable 13 to a counter.
