Abstract
1329376 Brake pressure unbalance indicator SOC ANON DBA 20 Dec 1971 [15 Jan 1971] 59095/71 Heading F2E A pressure unbalance indicator for a braking system comprises a double control circuit of the type wherein a piston 18 is mounted slidably in a bore 12 in a casing 11 in order to define in the latter two opposite pressure chambers 20, 22 adapted to be connected respectively to the two braking control circuits, return means 24, 26 designed to oppose the displacement of the piston on either side of a normal centred position when the differential pressure between the two opposite chambers remains below a given value, and a switching device 42 controlled by a movable plunger 38 which acts as a sensor, and which co-operates with a ramp of the piston so as to close contacts 44, 46 of the switching device on displacement of the piston beyond its normal position, the said unbalance indicator having friction means 52 provided to hold the plunger in its position corresponding to closing of the switching device contacts on return of the piston to its normal centred position under the action of the return means. The switch contact 46 is moved manually to open the contacts.
