1329315 Tractor/trailer couplings ENSOGUTZEIT OSAKEYHTIO 19 Nov 1971 [20 Nov 1970] 53879/71 Headings B7B and B7T A tractor having an elevatable gooseneck 1 is connected to a trailer by a tapered tongue 2 on the gooseneck being inserted into a complementary socket 4 in the trailer. When the tongue 2 is raised the convergent side faces 6, 15 of the tongue and socket wedge firmly together. The convergence of the side faces 6, 15 may change along their length from upwardly to downwardly (Figs. 6-8, not shown).
