1328824 Weft stop motions NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 15 Dec 1970 59476/70 Heading DIE A weft stop motion comprises a warp tension sensor 22 which detects the temporary rise in warp tension caused by the presence of a newly inserted weft at beat-up, and actuates apparatus which stops the loom in the absence of suoh a rise, when the weft is absent. The sensor 22 comprises a piezoelectric or magnetic sensing member 31 connected to an electrical circuit which operates a relay which opens a switch in the loom power circuit when a weft is not detected at beat-up.
