Abstract

1326385 Sign posts HILL (PATENTS) Ltd 9 June 1971 [5 Aug 1970] 37887/70 Headings E1B and E1G A sign post 10 has a base sign carrier 11 mounted in the top thereof by a stem 17, the carrier having two lateral recesses 20 for receiving the ends of rigid flags and bolt holes 21 through which bolts pass into complementary holes on the flags to secure them in positions. Supplementary sign carriers are mounted in an octagonal section socket 18 passing through the upper face 19 and intersecting lateral sockets 20, by means of octagonal section stems which include a circumferential groove which is engaged by projections on the inner ends of the flags. The rigid flags may be formed from a body portion having a socket in its end which receives a spigot of a mounting part which engages the carrier member. A cap having an octagonal section spigot is press fitted into the last supplementary sign carrier.
