Abstract

1325747 Transfers AVERY PRODUCTS CORP 30 Oct 1970 [28 Nov 1969] 51618/70 Heading B6C A transfer comprises a carrier sheet with a thermoset polymer coating, indicia printed on the surface and a dry elastomeric pressuresensitive adhesive overall. Preferably the polymer coating is of a urea-formaldehyde or melamine composition, indicia are printed with an ink containing vinyl chloride-vinylacetate copolymer or n-butyl methacrylate with solvents and pigments and the adhesive is a composition of styrene-butadiene rubber and thermoplastic polystyrene resin, of pale crepe rubber, paraffin wax and polyterpene resin or of polyisobutylene and polyterpene resin, with fillers, solvents and antioxidants. Examples of all of these compositions are given.
