1325643 Toy building sets A E GOLDFARB 23 Feb 1972 [25 Feb 1971] 8442/72 Heading A6S A toy building set comprises flat panels 11, Fig. 1, each with small holes 21, 27, 29 and a large hole 31 through it, separate columns 37, Fig. 3, for insertion in the small holes 21, &c., to support the panels horizontally, and a ramp 32, Fig. 8, to be releasably engaged in the large hole 31 of one of the panels. The building set is erected to form a multi-level toy garage, Fig. 4. The holes 21, &c., Fig. 1, are surrounded by integral sleeves 24, &c., Fig. 2, into which are fitted the reduced ends 39 of the columns 37, Fig. 3; the opposite ends 45 of the columns are hollow and of sufficient size to fit over the sleeves 24, &c. Two columns may be joined end-to-end by the use of an adapter sleeve (47), Figs. 5, 5A (not shown). A connector 87, Fig. 6A, may be placed with is large end 89 over a sleeve (23), Fig. 6 (not shown), on one panel 11, so that its small end 91 may be inserted into a small hole 21, &c. on another panel 11 above, thus holding the two panels in cantilevered engagement. The large hole 31 in each panel 11 is surrounded on two sides by walls 35, 36, Fig. 8, and the ramp 32 has a lug 80 engaged with the end of the wall 35 to permit pivoting of the ramp. Upstanding tabs 34, Figs. 1, 2, spaced inwards of edge walls 13, 15 extending both above and below the plane of each panel 11, provide gaps into which may be friction fitted toy notice boards 40, Fig. 8, having slim tongues to engage between the tabs and walls. Additional notice boards 69 can be fitted over the sleeves 23, &c. The holes, sleeves 23, &c. may alternatively be square or star shaped in crosssection. The panels 11 may be moulded from plastics. The toy garage shown in Fig. 4 has a baseplate 53 of cardboard, plastics, &c., but may alternatively stand directly on a supporting surface.
