Abstract

1325181 Curtain heading tapes K W POTTS 7 Oct 1971 [28 Oct 1970] 51177/70 Heading A4B [Also in Divisions B5 and D1] A curtain heading tape for forming curtain pleats comprises a flexible backing tape 13 to which are bonded longitudinally spaced stiffening panels 14 for shaping the pleats. The backing tape 13 may be a resin treated woven fabric or a plastics strip. The panels 14 may be of a synthetic plastics and may be preformed with score lines 17 defining fold lines for the pleats. The panels 14 may be preformed with transverse grooves 20. The tape may include a drawcord (21), Fig. 12 (not shown). The arrangements shown, Figs. 1, 5, form pinch pleats. In other arrangements there are formed cartridge pleats Fig. 4 (not shown), box pleats, Fig. 9 (not shown), and V or corrective pleats, Figs. 11, 12 (not shown).
