Abstract

1324506 Rotary liquid fuel burner LANDON KINGSWAY Ltd 5 Nov 1970 [2 Dec 1969] 58721/69 Heading F4T In a liquid fuel burner orientated for use in a combustion chamber, an upper bladed impeller 27 to recirculate hot gases from the combustion chamber is located above a fuel dispersing disc 26 which itself is situated above a lower bladed impeller 29 for drawing combustion air into the burner housing, fuel being supplied to the upper surface of the disc 26, which is heated in use, by hot gases, to assist vaporization of the fuel flowing over the disc. The fuel is supplied via a reservoir 16 to a bore 22 and frusto-conical fuel distributer 25 formed in a rotatable core 21, the fuel then spreading outwardly over the disc 26 by centrifugal force. Ignition is effected by device 34 which may be an H.T. ignition device or a glow coil. In another embodiment (not shown), the helical bore is omitted and the lower end of a frusto-conical bore in rotatable core 21 is immersed in fuel in reservoir 16.
