Abstract
1324100 Electric furnace control systems KOMBINAT SCHALTELEKTRONIK VEB 19 Nov 1970 55134/70 Heading H2H A system for controlling the currents flowing in the heating elements 2 of an electric furnace 1 which is connected to an A.C. supply RST by way of pairs of reversely connected thyristors Th 1 , Th 2 , comprises a ring counter Z energized by pulses generated by a Schmitt trigger circuit T connected to the A.C. supply, the output of the counter Z being fed to a logic circuit LV by means of which the pair of thyristors Th 2 is controlled directly and the pair of thyristors Th 1 is controlled by way of a delay unit V. The pulses generated by the trigger circuit have the lagging edges thereof coinciding with zero passages of the A.C. supply voltage and a switch G is provided to control the output signals from the circuit LV. A phase shifting element A may be used to control the logic circuit LV.
