Abstract

1323972 Metallized azo dyes FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 19 April 1971 [9 April 1970] 26614/71 Heading C4P The preparation, by treating the corresponding metallized azo dyes containing -SO 2 CH 2 CH 2 OH groups with sulphamic or chlorosulphonic acid of metallized azo dyes of formula wherein D is a benzene or naphthalene residue, A is the residue of an azo component of the benzene, naphthalene, pyrazolone or acetoacetarylide series, M is a metal atom of atomic number 24 to 29, X is -O- or -COO- in o-position to the azo group, Z is -O- or -NH- in o-position to the azo group, n is 1 to 4 and m and p are 1 or 2, is described. The dyes may be used to colour natural and synthetic polyamide, polyurethane and especially cellulose, fibres in a wide variety of shades.
