Abstract

1321920 Suppository introducer CHIRANA ZAVODY ZDRAVOTNICKEJ TECHNIKY ODBOROVY PODNIK 26 Nov 1971 [10 Dec 1970] 55131/71 Heading A5R A syringe, for introducing a substance such as a suppository into a human anal or vaginal cavity, comprises a tubular housing 1 and a plunger 2 reciprocable in the housing to eject the substance from a terminal tubular portion 4. The plunger has a stop 10, movable in a second tubular portion 5 of larger bore, the stop abutting a flange 6 and a closure stop 7 to control the volume of the substance ejected. The flange 6 which connects the two tubular portions 4 and 5 also prevents the insertion of the housing too far into a cavity. Guide ribs 11 and 12 extending axially along the plunger and engage the wall of the terminal tubular portion 4 and second tubular portion 5 respectively. The stop 10 is sufficiently resilient to pass through the axial opening formed by the closure stop 7 to snap the plunger into the housing during assembly.
