1321285 Acrolein tetramer DAICEL Ltd 30 June 1970 [1 July 1969] 31548/70 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] Acrolein tetramer, i.e. (3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran- 2 - methyl)3,4 - dihydro - 2H - pyran - 2 - carboxylate, is made by subjecting distilled acrolein dimer, i.e. 3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran-2-carboxaldehyde, to a Tisehenko reaction e.g. treatment of the dimer with a solution of aluminium isopropoxide or isopropoxide butoxide in acrolein tetramer.
