Abstract
1320409 Automatic voltage and current control MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 1 July 1970 [1 July 1969] 31990/70 Heading G3R [Also in Division G1] The current through a load 24, Fig.3, (typically 10mA at 1kc/s) is regulated by rectifying 48, 49 the output of a current transformer 45 in series with the load, comparing 51 the resulting potential with the breakdown potential of a Zener diode 52 and using the difference to control 54 the potential applied to an oscillator 35, 36, 37, producing the current being regulated. In a modification Fig.6 (not shown) the current transformer 45 is replaced by a diode bridge (10), and additional feedback is provided by an additional winding (95) on the oscillator transformer 37. D.C. is supplied to the circuit either from a battery 30 or from a full wave rectified A. C. source Fig.4 (not shown), and is stabilized by a Zener diode 33 and a single transistor 31 or Fig. 5, (not shown) by a Zener diode (77) and a complementary pair of transistors (81, 74) designed to compensate for temperature variations. The arrangement forms part of a measuring system, see Division G1U.
