Abstract

1320234 Porous concrete HENKEL & CIE GmbH 21 Oct 1970 [22 Oct 1969 (2)] 49883/70 Heading C1H A water permeable concrete contains cement, e.g. slag cement, granular mineral aggregate having a uniform grain fraction between 3 and 30 mm. with a tolerance latitude (defined) of 4 to 15 mm., e.g. gravel with the optional addition of asbestos in an amount up to 5% by wt. of the aggregate; 0À05 to 2À0 wt. per cent (based on the cement) of a macro-molecular water soluble substance, e.g. vegetable gums, cellulose ethers, acrylamides, polyvinyl ethers and sulphonic acid salts; and water to give a total water/ cement ratio of 0À32 to 0À48. In addition 0À005-0À08% anionic or nonionic wetting agent, aqueous dispersions of thermoplastic materials, e.g. polyvinyl propionate, butadiene/styrene copolymers and/or bitumen, and accelerators, e.g. calcium chloride, silicic acid or water glass may be included.
