1320216 Thermographic copying RICOH K K 16 Sept 1970 [17 Sept 1969] 44198/70 Heading G2A [Also in Division H5] A heat-sensitive stencil is thermographically exposed to the image of an original by (a) pre- heating a drum to pre-heat it, (b) passing the superposed original and stencil past the drum, and (c) energizing a source of heat inside the drum to transmit heat radiation through the drum as the stencil and original pass into engagement with the drum. As shown, an original (38) and heat-sensitive sheet (37) are transported by an endless belt (36) past a transparent drum (31) containing a heat ray source 32 and having a layer of high electric resistance 33b (e.g. Nesa glass), and an outer non-stick layer 33c.
