Abstract

1320197 Cracking hydrocarbons ESSO RESEARCH & ENG CO 4 Sept 1970 [19 Sept 1969 (2)] 42476/70 Heading C5E The cracking of a petroleum hydrocarbon fraction with a fluidized cracking catalyst having an average particle size of at least 40 microns is improved by contacting the fraction and/or at least a portion of the products from the cracking zone with a second cracking catalyst consisting of an unencapsulated crystalline zeolite having an average particle size of less than 10 microns. Riser and transfer line cracking is described.
