Abstract
1317503 Steam autoclave F LINDER 16 July 1971 [20 July 1970] 33546/71 Heading A5G An autoclave chamber 1 is heated partially by circulating steam generated in the heated vessel 11 using water from the storage tank 16 and partially by an independently heated heat sink 2 composed of a material of high heat capacity, e.g. aluminium, which at least partly surrounds the chamber. The latter is operated before and after the actual sterilization period to preheat the chamber and its contents before steam is introduced and to dry out the contents when the steam supply is discontinued.
