Abstract
1315886 Turret machine VSESOJUZNY NAUCHNO - ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT ISTOCHNIKOV SVETA 23 Sept 1971 44327/71 Heading H1J An automatic sealing and evacuation apparatus for electrovacuum devices, particularly general service incandescent lamps comprises a continuously moving chain conveyer 4 moving anti-clockwise about sprocket gears 2 and 3, the chain carrying stations 5 wherein the lamps are assembled, the apparatus further including two more chain conveyers 7, 23 moving synchronously with the chain 4. Lamp stems are first supplied to feeding means 8 on chain 7 from trough 9, the stems subsequently being placed in stations 5. Bulbs from trough 11 are supplied to sprocket 3 via holding means 10 and the bulbs are then placed on the stems prior to heating in furnace 14 as they pass therethrough. The stems and bulbs are fused together at sprocket gear 2 before being passed to chain 23, which includes a curvilinear portion 25 adjacent a turret 16, which carries the assemblies to the turret 16 for degassing and tipping off before discharge via trough 21.
