Abstract

1315861 Display packages MARDON SON & HALL Ltd 19 April 1971 [17 April 1970] 18421/70 Addition to 1249307 Heading B8C A blank for a display package which comprises two hingedly connected panels 11, 12, panel 12 having a display aperture 13 covered by a strip 16 of flexible window material and having a pleat 17 therein, has a hinged flap enabling the package to be loaded after the panels have been bonded together. As shown, the loading flap is formed at one end of the aperture by a fold line 15 intersecting the aperture 13 and a cut-out portion 14. After loading, the part 20 of the portion 14 is folded around the end of the article and is engaged by a tab 22 on the panel 12 when closed. Parallel fold lines 18 provide a stepped construction at the other end of the aperture to facilitate loading. In modifications, the loading flap comprises a hinged panel formed in the non-apertured panel, the fold lines 18 are omitted, and the hinged panel may extend over the same area as the aperture.
