Abstract
1315392 Radiographic contrast medium RIKAGAKU KENKYUSHO 19 June 1970 [13 May 1970] 56414/72 Divided out of 1315391 Heading A5B A vascular radiographic contrast medium comprises 20-50 parts by weight of a particulate magnetic ferrite having sufficient X-rayabsorbing power to give a clear vasograph, which particles are coated with 50-80 parts by weight of a negatively charged colloid. The ferrite may be Fe ferrite, Mn ferrite, Ni ferrite, Cu ferrite, Mg ferrite, Co ferrite, Zn ferrite, Mn/Zn ferrite, Ni/Zn ferrite, Cu/Zn ferrite, Fe 3 O 4 or γ-ferric oxide. The colloid may be colloidal Au, Pt, AgI or SiO 2 . The composition may be dispersed in a sterile non-toxic liquid.
