Abstract
131,375. Greenwood, H. C., and Acland, T. W. G. May 29, 1918. Anemometers and air-current indicators. - In measuring the rate of flow of liquids and gases, especially those under high pressures, the flow is arranged to take place in proximity to a body of fluid at a different temperature flowing at a known rate, and the initial and subsequent temperatures or temperature differences of both fluids are used for calculating the flow. The apparatus may comprise two conduits a, b, preferably concentric, and thermo-couples c or other temperaturemeasuring means.
