Abstract

1313724 Reclaiming material from piles GUSTAV SCHADE MASCHINENFABRIK 19 April 1971 [5 Feb 1970] 20993/71 Heading B8E Material is scraped from a pile 10, Fig. 1, on to a conveyer 13 by an endless scraper conveyer 21 which is supported substantially horizontally from a gantry 15. One leg 17 of the gantry is pivotable. The beam which supports the scraper chains is slidably mounted in the gantry legs, limited horizontal play being provided in the leg 17. Subsidiary scrapers 32, 32<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 2, move the material down the face of the heap on to the conveyer 13. The scrapers 32 may be fixed angularly or be adjustable. In a second embodiment, Fig. 4, two main scrapers 21 are provided, one being alternately adjusted lower than the other so that both are operative to remove material from the pile during each traverse. Material is urged down the side of the pile by a scraper 32 located between the scrapers 21.
