Abstract
1313270 Pyrazolones KONISHIROKU PHOTO INDUSTRY CO Ltd 8 July 1971 [10 July 1970] 32145/71 Heading C2C [Also in Divisions C4 and G2] Novel pyrazolone compounds useful as colour couplers and of the general formula wherein W represents H or an optionally substituted phenylazo group; each of X, Y and Z which may be the same or different, represents H or halogen, C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-4 alkoxy, an optionally substituted phenoxy group or a group of formula CO 2 R 3 , R 3 being C 1-4 alkyl; A represents a divalent group of one of the formulµ R 4 representing H or halogen; m is 1 or 2; R 1 represents H or C 1-4 alkyl; and R 2 represents a C 8-16 aliphatic hydrocarbon group, may be made by reacting a 1-phenyl-3-amino-5-pyrazolone with the appropriate acid chloride.
