Abstract

1313268 Cement compositions MITSUBISHI PETROCHEMICAL CO Ltd and TAISEIKENSETSU KK 19 April 1971 [4 April 1970] 26090/71 Heading C1H High strength cement is obtained by incorporating 3-30% as solids of a macromolecular material consisting of at least one monomer forming homopolymers having a second order transition point above room temperature, and at least one monomer having such a point below room temperature, as a water dispersion using a non-ionic emulsifier, hardening at normal temperature for 4-336 hours then heating or steaming for 10 mins. to 3 days at 50-150‹ C. Many monomers are given and include high point: styrene, vinyl acetate and chloride, acrylonitrile and methacrylates; low point: ethylene, butadiene, chloroprene, and acrylates. Sand is also present.
