A flint glass containing in weight per cent SiO 2 61À9; Al 2 O 3 3À4; Na 2 O 6À7; K 2 O 7À6; CaO 4À0; PbO 4À0; BuO 9À8; As 2 O 3 0À3; Sb 2 O 3 0À4; F 0À8; CeO 2 0À2-0À5; ZrO 2 0À1-4À0 and a strontium glass containing SiO 2 64À0; Al 2 O 3 3À08; Fe 2 O 3 0À05; Na 2 7À28; K 2 O 9À45; CaO 2À25; MgO 1À00; BaO 0À20; SrO 10À0; As 2 O 3 0À24; Sb 2 O 3 0À40; TiO 2 0À48; CaO 2À25; ZrO 2 0À77 are disclosed. The glass is preferably a neutral grey colour obtained by the addition of Fe 2 O 3 , NiO and CoO.
