1313230 Work-tables MOSKOVSKY STANKOSTROITELNY ZAVOD "KRASNY PROLETARY" IMENT AI EFREMOVA 15 July 1971 33168/71 Heading B3B In a verticle multiplespindle machine tool in which a revolving work-table 1 carrying hydraulic clamping means A is mounted with a central aperture around a tapered portion B of a column 2, pressure oil is supplied to the clamping means A from a source 6 via passages 4 which have outlets 3 level with inlets 5, the inlets 5 being interconnected by a toroidal conduit 7 supplying the clamping means A, the machine tool being characterized in that the inlets 5 are circumferentially spaced through an equal angular pitch (e.g. eight inlets at 45 degrees spacing) while the outlets 3 are spaced through unequal angular pitches (e.g. four outlets unequally but progressively spaced) so that when an outlet 3 is coincident with an inlet 5 the remaining outlets are displaced relative to adjacent inlets at angles the magnitude of which are not equal and constitute a progression. At each of the stationary positions of the table only one outlet and inlet coincide to supply pressure oil, to minimize oil leakage and out of balance loads on the table 1. In successive fixed position of the table the inlets successively communicate with one outlet, while in the process of rotating the table from one fixed position to another, its inlets successively communicate with the remaining outlets.
