Abstract

1311656 X-ray cassettes T K BELL 2 Sept 1970 [4 June 1969] 28137/69 Heading H5R X-ray film is marked to permit identification of film orientation in the cassette, and hence of patient orientation, by the use of a cassette incorporating in one carrier a symbol-shaped radio-active marker formed by a sheet of radionuclide masked with another material to yield the required shape, or a radionuclide cut in the required shape, or an ink or paint containing a radionuclide. The marker may further contain a fluorescent or phosphorescent material.
