Abstract

1311491 Urine collectors ELLIOT LABORATORIES Inc 3 July 1970 32373/70 Heading A4N A closed sterile disposable urine collector for catching a sample of urine in mid-stream comprises a flexible funnel 10 with a rigid member 19 about its larger end, a removable sealing cap 20 and a urine collecting container 11 removably secured to the smaller end of the funnel 10. The funnel may be made of plastics material with a textured finish on its interior walls and the member 19 may be formed integrally with the funnel or may be separate and made of e.g. cardboard. The container 11 has a lid (22) Fig. 2 (not shown) for sealing the sample in. The device may be folded for transit with the container 11 within the member 19 Fig. 6 (not shown). The funnel 10 may be stretched onto the mouth of container 11 or may have a threaded connector, Fig. 5 (not shown). The container may be as shown or may be a flexible bag as in Figs. 7 and 8 (not shown).
