Abstract

Proportional compasses and multi-legged dividers. -An additional pair of legs are slidably mounted on the legs of a pair of compasses or dividers to enable them to be used as proportional compasses. Parallel legs A, Fig. 4, are hinged, knee-jointed, or fixed to blocks B which slide on the legs of a pair of compasses which are scaled. An interlocking device C prevents the auxiliary legs from being moved independently.
