Abstract
1311027 Signalling system WESTING- HOUSE BRAKE & SIGNAL CO Ltd 10 Nov 1971 [25 Nov 1970] 56001/70 Heading B7H [Also in Division H4] In an inductive track-train communication and signalling system, a separate trackside transmit loop 1, 2 and receive loop 5, 6 is provided co-operating respectively with train carried receive elements 23, 24 and transmit elements 27, 28, and the transmit loop is transposed at intervals to reduce coupling between it and the receive loop. In the transmit direction from track to train four channels may be employed occupying different bands in the frequency range 40-95 KHZ. The first channel may be a signal aspect channel, the second a track data channel, the third a speech channel and the fourth a channel for cybernetic data from a central office. In the train to track transmit direction two channels may be provided in the range 120-150 KHZ, the first being a speech channel and the second for cybernetic data from the train to the central control office.
