1309995 Stabilizing compositions CIBAGEIGY AG 19 April 1971 [13 April 1970] 26653/71 Heading C2C and C2P [Also in Divisions C3 and C5] The invention comprises a stabilizing composition comprising at least one dialkylphenothiazine or di-cycloalkylphenothiazine compound and at least one phenolic antioxidant. Specified phenolic antioxidants include mono- and di-hydric alkyl phenols, alkylene-bis-(alkylphenols), thiobis - (alkylphenols), alkyl esters of (alkyl-hydroxybenzyl) malonic acids, alkylesters of (alkyl - hydroxybenzyl - thio - alkanoic acids, tris- and tetrakis-(alkyl-hydroxyphenyl)alkanes, di- and tri-(alkyl-hydroxybenzyl)-alkylbenzenes, phenols containing a 1,3,5 - triazine nucleus linked to a phenolic residue via thio, amino or ether linkages; alkyl or alkylthioalkyl esters of alkyl-hydroxyphenylalkanoic acids and of alkyl-hydroxybenzoic acids; esters of alkylhydroxyphenylalkanoic acids and of alkyl-hydroxybenzoic acids with diols and polyols; and phosphonates containing phenolic residues. These compositions are useful for stabilizing polyolefins.
