1309416 Draughting machine MINSKY OPYTNY ZAVOD SPETSIALNOGO KONSTRUKTORSKOGO BJURO 29 July 1970 [14 Aug 1969] 36692/70 Heading G1X A draughting head in a draughting machine comprises two flat members 5, 9 which are adjustable to any one of a plurality of fixed relative positions by providing a hub 6 fixed to the member 5 and receiving an axle 7 to which the other member 9 is attached, and a lever 21 so pivoted to a washer 17 on the hub 6 that the lever can be brought to bear on another washer 16, the washer 16 being arranged by way of balls 18 to urge the flat members 5, 9 apart so that balls 8 fixed to the member 5 are lifted from cavities (12) Fig. 4. (not shown) in the member 9 to allow adjustment of the relative positioning of the members 5, 9. As shown, the members 5, 9 are connected to a bracket 2 on a moveable carriage (3) Fig.1, (not shown) and to drawing scales (11) respectively and a spring-loaded, manually-operable button 26 is reciprocatable in a casing 15 of the draughting head to pivotally adjust the lever 21 by way of a wedge 25. An arrangement 13, 14 to allow adjustment of the button 26 about the axle 7 may be provided.
