Abstract

1309329 Explosive devices DYNAMIT NOBEL AG 22 Sept 1970 [23 Sept 1969] 45177/70 Heading F3A An explosive device comprising a casing 7 of substantially symmetrical transverse crosssection, an explosive charge 1, an insert 8 of a material of low sound transmissivity, and a detonation propagation element 6 which contacts the explosive charge over an annular zone a which is from 1 to 5 mm. wide. The propagation element can be made of nitropenta having a thickness of 3 mm., tetryl or hexogen having a thickness of 4-5 mm., or explosive foil. The explosive charge has a conical cavity provided with a lining 3. The casing, insert, explosive charge and propagating element may have co-operating conical surfaces as described and claimed in Specification 1,251,158.
