Abstract

1308727 Urinals MOCHIDA SEIYAKU K K 6 Sept 1971 [7 Sept 1970] 41480/71 Heading A4N [Also in Divisions A5 C1 and C3] A urinal or water closet comprises an absorbent material positioned in the urinal or W. C. pan or waste pipe therefrom, to extract an ingredient such as a hormone, enzyme or protein from the urine as it flows therethrough. The adsorbent may be polyacrylonitrile, polystyrol or permutite. As shown in Fig. 1, a nylon bag containing the adsorbent is supported on the filter plate 2. In other embodiments the bag may be held by a stainless steel wire net fitted to the urinal Fig.2 (not shown), or positioned in a trap below the filter plate Fig. 3 (not shown).
