Abstract

1307794 Protective arrangements MESSERSCHMITT-BOLKOW-BLOHM GmbH 19 April 1971 [20 Feb 1970] 20735/71 Heading H2K Apparatus for the control, monitoring and testing of an air or space vehicle electrical system having two constant-frequency three-phase generators 10, 11 in parallel, comprises a primary fault sensing and control unit 12, 13 for each generator and a central control unit 60 consisting of NAND gates, signal inverters, time delay members, multivibrators and storage elements of micro-miniature construction, means for providing approximately 5 V D.C. for the logic elements and approximately 28 V for the energizing circuits of contactors 41, 54, 85, 86, 101 of the system, and a preflight checkout system in the form of a further logic switching circuit. The arrangement provides protection against over-frequency, over-voltage, undervoltage, over-current, under-excitation, overexcitation and includes differential current protection, an automatic paralleling detector and an inverse parallel condition lockout. Figs. 2, 3 and 4 (not shown) respectively illustrate logic circuits for the primary units, the control unit and the checkout system.
