Abstract

1307442 Magnetic brush developing CANON K K 9 March 1970 [8 March 1969 11 Sept 1969] 11167/70 Heading G2H A magnetic brush is trimmed e.g. by doctor blades 6, 7, to a thickness less than that required to reach an image-bearing member at A so that portions C of the brush, subsequently drawn from the trimmed brush by magnetic and centrifugal forces, actually effect the developing. It is stated that these portions C are less dense than the rest of the brush and thus will not streak the developed image. Plates 8, 9 of magnetic material are preferably provided to help draw out the portions C.
