1307428 Solvents containing tetrachlorodifluoroethane IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 1 Nov 1971 [11 Nov 1970] 53683/70 Heading C5D A liquid solvent composition for cleaning articles such as textiles and printed circuits comprises a mixture of tetrachlorodifluoroethane, heptane and 1-nitropropane. An aezotropic mixture is preferred or one having a boiling point within 2‹ C. of the boiling point of the azeotrope. The azeotrope of 1,1,2,2-tetrachloro-1,2-difluoroethane contains 5À7% by wt. of n-heptane and 1À6% by wt. of 1-nitropropane. Optional additives are cationic, anionic and non-ionic detergents. The composition may be used in liquid or vapour form.
