Abstract

1307111 Screen printing plates LA LALA 8 May 1970 [12 May 1969] 22418/70 Heading G2M Serigraphic printing plates in which each opening in the screen is centred between the fibres forming the screen are prepared by (1) exposing a photographically sensitized layer to an image through the screen, (2) developing to form a dot image (3) exposing an emulsion on the screen through the developed image (4) removing the layer bearing the developed image and (5) washing away the unexposed areas of emulsion. The photo-sensitive surface may be placed adjacent, adhered to or coated on the screen and developed while in contact with or separate from the screen, and the emulsion may be applied or sensitized after step (2). The finished screens have circular openings of varying size.
