Abstract

1306953 Spindle waste cones MASCHINENFABRIK RIETER AG 30 July 1970 [6 Aug 1969] 36832/70 Heading DID A spindle waste cone 2 has a flange 5 of larger radius than the cone to retain the thread wound thereon. A depression 7 in the flange 5 is a snap fit, by means of detents 9 in a groove 10, in an opening 8 in the cone 2. Slots 4 are provided to facilitate removal of the thread by cutting if necessary. In place of the flange 5 pivoted fingers (16) may be provided, Fig. 2 (not shown), whose ends (19) are elastic. The tops of the fingers slope downwardly. and inwardly so that the tube (21) forces them outwards when it is donned.
