Abstract

1304750 Screens for showerbaths &c splash screens H G BAUS 1 Oct 1970 [24 April 1970] 46746/70 Headings A4N, A4U A multi-panel screen for showerbaths or bathtubs, comprises at least two slideable parallel partitions and at least two guides in the form of upstanding ridges on which the partitions are arranged to slide, the guides 6, 8, 10 are part of a guide rail 4 and are of inverted V-section, or of triangular section with one side of the triangle horizontal, and the guide rail 4 is mounted on a trough-like body 2 having a sloping bottom surface 18 and being provided with drainage holes 20. The guide rail 4 is provided with drainage holes 12, 14. Each partition comprises a transparent panel 26 and a fitment 24, the fitment being H-shaped in cross-section and gripping both the lower edge of the panel 26 and a plastics sliding insert 22 or roller. The partitions are suspended at the top from rollers (not shown) in known manner.
