Abstract

1403793 Track for sliding doors WESTLAND ENGS Ltd 12 Feb 1973 [18 Feb 1972] 7633/72 Heading E1J [Also in Division B7] A track 11 for a sliding door comprises two co-planar, spaced flanges 12 for securement to a wall with portions 13, 14 extending from the adjacent edges of the flanges firstly towards each other then away from each other and terminating in a face parallel to the flanges 12. The door is mounted on carriers which may have rollers or slides engaging either only the upper portion 13 or the upper and lower portions 13, 14. Alternatively, the carrier 44 may be secured to a member 39 of inverted U-section having recesses 40 in its lower edges which rest on the spindles 43 of rollers 42 riding on the track 11, or the carrier 53 may be secured to a member 52 of C-section embracing a ball-bearing cage 51 in turn embracing the rail 11 so that the member 52 is slidable with respect to the cage 51 which is slidable relative to the track 11.
