Abstract

1304729 Glutaramic acid derivatives ROTTA RESEARCH LABORATORIUM SpA 24 Sept 1970 [13 Oct 1969] 45669/70 Heading C2C 4 - Benzamido - N,N - dipropylglutaramic and 4 - benzamido - 41 - (C 1-6 alkoxy carbonyl)- glutaranilic acid are prepared by debenzylating the corresponding benzyl esters, obtained by reacting dipropylamine or C 1-6 alkyl p-aminobenzoate with benzyl 4-benzamido -4:-carboxybutyrate, which is made by benzoylating benzyl 4-amino-4-carboxybutyrate resulting from the esterification of glutamic acid. D, L and DL forms of both compounds are prepared by starting the above reaction sequence with D-, L-, and DL-glutamic acid respectively.
