Abstract
1304388 Vibration dampers for cables DULMISON (AUSTRALIA) PTY Ltd 4 Sept 1970 [18 Sept 1969] 42355/70 Heading F2S In a spring tuned inertia weight vibration damper for an overhead electric cable 4, additional resilient means 9 are interposed (a) between each weight 10, 11 and a resilient shaft 8 connecting them and (b) between the shaft 8 and a clamp 3. The shaft is enclosed in a cylinder 9 of elastomeric material secured by coacting detents 14-17 or adhesive. The inertia weights 10, 11 are made of grey cast iron or concrete. The ends of the resilient shaft may be covered with elastomeric material 12, 13.
