Abstract

1304372 Chamber pots R P HICKMAN 11 Feb 1970 [27 June 1969] 32666/69 Heading A4N A moulded plastics toilet pot, suitable for children, comprises a receptacle 10, having a substantially horizontal seat rim 11 on a base 12, and a foot-rest 16 integrally formed with the receptacle 10 to stabilise the pot during use. The foot-rest 16 has outwardly and downwardly sloping edges 17 Fig. 2 (not shown) and 18 around a surface in which a pair of recesses 22 in the shape of a pair of footprints, separated by a ridge 21 are formed. The bases of the recesses are substantially horizontal in use. An upstanding splashguard 15 is mounted on the front edge of the receptacle 10 and has a pair of recesses 23 which form a handle. The pot can be injection moulded, may be stackable and have gripping means e. g. friction pads, or lateral ribs under the foot-rest or incorporate a strap to secure the child in place. The foot-rest can be formed as an extra catchment area and may extend all around the receptacle.
