Abstract
130,417. Caudron, R. Nov. 2, 1917, [Convention date]. Direct air-pressure apparatus, non-automatic ; valves for pressure fluid, arrangement of; valves for liquid, arrangement of.-Tanks, particularly for use on aircraft, are divided into compartments each provided with an inlet for pressure fluid and an outlet for the contents of the tank, means being provided for preventing the pressure fluid from continuing to enter a damaged compartment. The pressure fluid is admitted to a casing c preferably through a baffle device d', and each of the conduits b<1>, b<2>, b<3> leading to the tank compartmemts is provided at its lower end with a chamber h, in which is a plug which is raised to seal the conduit, if the pressure in a compartment is reduced to a predetermined extent. The chambers h may be provided with apertures h<10> for the normal fluid flow. The tank outlets communicate with a common collecting vessel by means of pipes also provided with valves which close when the pressure is reduced.
