Abstract
130,246. Newbould, C. E. Nov. 22, 1918. Butter substitutes.-A butter substitute consists of a mixture of beef suet and vegetables such as butter beans, lentils, carrots, and potatoes. The vegetables are cleaned, soaked, and separately cooked, mixed, passed through sieves, and dried at a temperature of 60 to 70‹ F. The suet is boiled and cooled and then mixed with the vegetables.
