Abstract
1302118 Salts of antibiotics SOC GENERALE DE RECHERCHES ET D'APPLICA. TIONS SCIENTIFIQUES SOGERAS 19 April 1971 [17 April 1970] 18387/70 Heading C2A [Also in Division C3] Salts of antibiotics, particularly tetracycline and erythromycin, with arabogalactan sulphate are prepared by double decomposition between a soluble salt of arabogalaetan sulphate, e.g. the calcium salt, and a soluble salt, e.g. the hydrochloride, of the antibiotic, when the desired salt is precipitated. The salts have a more uniform and prolonged therapeutic action than the parent antibiotics and may be formulated with conventional carriers for administration.
