Abstract

1301802 1-phenylpyrazole-4-acetic acids FUVEAU SA 17 May 1971 [15 May 1970] 15234/71 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula and their non-toxic salts, wherein R is Ph possibly substituted by halogen, C 1-4 alkyl, alkoxy, CF 3 ,NO 2 ,NH 2 or aminoalkyl, and a process for making them by hydrolysing the corresponding nitriles. Intermediates also described are the corresponding 1-phenylpyrazoles and 4-chloromethyl- 1-phenylpyrazoles. Therapeutic compositions, preferably administered orally, comprise compounds of the above formula, which have anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity.
