1300796 Fluorosulphonyl compounds FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER AG 21 July 1970 [26 Aug 1969] 35184/70 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of the formula wherein R represents an optionally substituted (C 1 to C 8 ) alkyl radical; X represents S, CO or CS and R<SP>1</SP> represents an optionally substituted aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aryl or heterocyclic radical, a (C 1 to C 8 ) alkoxy, (C 1 to C 8 ) alkylmercapto or 5- or 6-membered cycloalkoxy radical, C1 or F or wherein R<SP>2</SP> represents (C 1 to C 8 ) alkyl and R<SP>3</SP> represents (C 1 to C 8 ) alkyl or (C 1 to C 8 ) alkylmercapto optionally substituted by halogen. They may be obtained by reacting a compound of formula R-NH-SO 2 F with an acyl halide of the formula R<SP>1</SP>-X-Hal, wherein Hal represents F, C1 or Br, in the presence of an acid binding agent. Examples are given for the preparation of the compounds. The compounds are useful as insecticides, and may be used in association with an emulsifier. Compounds of the formula R-NH-SO 2 F may be obtained by treating the corresponding chloro-derivatives with anhydrous HF.
